Really poor experience at this hotel. We stayed in a comfort room which seems to be where the problems lie. The room was noisy, dirty and not fit for purpose as the bed was broken resulting in you being tipped out as you slept, the bedsheets were stained and the window, toilet seat and bin were all broken in the room. We were really disappointed and having stayed in Mallaig before, I would highly recommend looking at other accommodation in the area to get much better value for money. However, the downstairs seating area was quite nice and I expect if you stay in a different room type you would get a different experience.

J'ai dû annuler la réservation de deux chambres car une tempête a fait que le bateau qui devait nous conduire à Mallaig a été annulé. J'ai prévenu l'hôtel dès que j'ai su, mais comme c'était moins de 48h avant la réservation ils ont prélevé la TOTALITE du séjour. C'est conforme à leur réglement, mais ce manque de compréhension m'a déçue.

Beautiful room and super friendly people working there. Our room was truly amazing. The view from the room (nr5) over sea was gorgeous. The breakfast was lovely. I had salmon an two fried eggs that were especially made fresh for us by a lovely lady named Jean. I can definitely recommend this hotel, felt at home from the moment I set foot in there

Okay rooms. Quite old, smells weird, decent water pressure for showers. Dinner was very good. Breakfast was beyond sad.

Mooi oud hotel, kamers zijn redelijk modern maar als je geluk hebt heb je wel een heel mooi uitzicht op Skye. Badkamer zag er goed uit. Ontbijt was prima, gewoon wat je verwacht. Restaurant ook prima, niet heel spannend maar wel aardig

A cosy hotel with a good bar and comfy beds. Only serve dinner on certain days, but there are a couple of decent restaurants close by.

Overall fantastic experience for our stay! Bob the bartender took great care of us and was truly a pleasure to speak with. Amazing sunset views and delicious food. We'd love to stay again if we find ourselves back in town!

Room was with a great view. Restaurant in the hotel had an amazing view. We got the best table and food was also good. My only complaint here is no elevator to the hotel. You come with lots of suitcases on your trip thinking this would be a nice location to stay, you'll have to haul everything. And we got 3rd floor room 🙄. It's no fun and no help to haul as well. That was sick after a long day of traveling. Think before you book your room here. Ask for 1st floor may be.

My room had this weird smell and it was really small which it was probably my fault since I didn’t realize when I book, single room the bed it’s for a really small person or a child even, I couldn’t sleep all night , thank god next day there was a cancellation and I could change to another room,they gave me 20£ off for the other room which was good but of course way more expensive, my advice never book the single room.

Excellent hotel for the Skye ferry, my only gripe would be, it was not possible to shower in our dormer room as the roof line makes it impossible to stand however if you don't mind a bath in the morning the room was fine.

There are no stairs nor at the entrance or at the hotel itself!!! We had to carry our luggage a few floors! The hotel smells of mold! The bad was terrible and the sheets felt not clean! The shower felt like you are on a boat since the floor wasn’t flat! The winds from the outside came in! Don’t go there !!!

Great hotel in a great location. Hotel car park was good but deadly seagulls to watch out for. Hotel is large and spacious with lots of seating in lounges. Room was clean and modern. Great en-suite. Restaurant was very very good. Sea view from my room was great. View Rum Eigg and Skye easily. Negatives. Single room mattress was terrible. Bathroom shower products was one sachet. Not good. There are no lifts so prepare for stairs. Overall very good and will return happily. Top tip Book Direct for best price.

I had a standard Single room on the top floor with slanted ceiling - and loved it. Window faced the islands and train station. The small room was carpeted, had a nice shower stall, towel-warming rack, lighted mirror, a desk, luggage rack, kettle, hair dryer, reading light, blackout blind, a small TV and a portrait of a heilan coo on the wall. The Terrace Restaurant is open most days (staff dependent) from 6 pm - book in the morning. Comfortable lounges and bar on the main floor. Quite good WiFi throughout. Recycling bin in room.

About a 5-minute walk to the rail station or to the ferry. Clearly dated. Rooms are small. Only three electrical outlets. No electrical outlet in bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. No elevator (lift). We ended up lugging 50 lb suitcases up two stories (four flights of stairs).

They have parking onsite which in this small port town on a hill is quite lovely. The rooms are so pretty, the staff was quite helpful, and the breakfast was so tasty. I stayed in Room 5 and adored the giant bathtub. Such a treat.

Localización ideal, con vistas preciosas, la atención del personal perfecta. Pero..… Nula accesibilidad Para acceder a las habitaciones escaleras y más escaleras, y si vas con maletas... ( a los hoteles se va con maletas no?), no dispone de ascensor. La habitación minúscula, las ventanas se abrían con gran dificultad. El WC. .. ay el WC. Había que entrar de lado. Vamos muchos B&B están mejor. Es una lástima, pues la situación es inmejorable.

Great views from most rooms and the restaurant. There may have been a shortage of staff on the evening that we stayed. Service in the restaurant was slow, but I didn’t mind as the food was of good quality once it arrived.
